Features

From a written bar to a steadier hand

  • Make your own score

    Drag note values onto a beat grid, place offbeat starts, and tie notes across a barline. Set the meter and tempo to match your piece.

  • Bring in printed notation

    Import a clear image or PDF of one or two rhythm parts, then review and edit the detected notes before practising.

  • Practise with another part

    For two-part scores, hear one part as drum sounds while you play the other on the touch area.

  • See where each note landed

    The score and timing ribbon scroll together. After a run, see an overall score and feedback for each note.

  • Share the score

    Send an editable Tonaly Rhythm file to another device, or export standard notation as PDF or PNG and a MIDI file.

In practice

A short passage, one beat at a time

The piece starts with a pickup

Set the opening incomplete measure so the barlines and preparation beats line up with the printed score.

Two parts play together

Choose which part to tap. Rhythm plays the other as a drum part while the score follows both lines.

You want to work on a later bar

Drag the score to select a measure start, then begin with a preparation count that follows the meter.

You want to practise on another device

Share the editable Tonaly Rhythm file with AirDrop or the system share sheet, then open it on the other device.
